Issues getting V4 to work

I am having a lot of issuing getting V4 to work and am running into a lot of errors. This is from using the image. Generally are most people having the same difficulties?

Thanks for the report. Could you share the errors you're seeing? I can guess a couple of causes, but knowing the errors would help troubleshoot. It's probably a mismatch in dependency versions (via pip).

Definitely, long overdue. There are improvements on Master that haven't been tagged, so the CI hasn't run. I've held off on tagging them because I don't want to trigger everyone's gate to try to pip update - I think we have gremlins in the dependency basement.

I'm working today to put together a smarter requirements.py & apt installs in an attempt to address the now more broad hardware support requirement, while also keeping the dependencies up-to-date/secure. This project was written originally for the 3B+ and fairly tightly coupled to Debian 7 (bullseye). We have people running this on 3B+ (the original requirement), Pi4 and P5, and across a wide range of operating systems.

I also have a few improvements to release & self-update stuff in testing - should improve reliability of those mechanisms, and allow for confidence in shipping more frequent releases. More soon!
