Go plugins require ABI compatibility with the host binary — specifically, the same C runtime library. The Bifrost image is built on golang:1.26.1-bookworm and runs on debian:bookworm-slim (glibc), but the plugin's Docker cross-compilation used golang:1.26.1-alpine3.23 (musl libc), causing a runtime load failure.

Changes

  • Makefile (_build-with-docker): Swap the cross-compilation base image and package installer:
-		golang:1.26.1-alpine3.23 \
-			sh -c "apk add --no-cache gcc musl-dev && \
+		golang:1.26.1-bookworm \
+			sh -c "apt-get update && apt-get install -y gcc libc6-dev && \
