…r, and the page order written down examples/poster/landscape.md now says orientation: landscape itself, so py-doc poster poster/landscape.md builds the landscape poster it is written for, not a portrait one. py-doc.yml keeps the company's look. The posters chapter says which settings go where, and how a poster is laid out from the top down: header, stats and abstract, bands of full-width sections and columns, summary and references, footer. Also splits a 40-word sentence from the barcode docs, which fails the docs lint on main. Summary
examples/poster/landscape.mdsetsorientation: landscapein its own front matter. Before, that setting was only inpy-doc.yml, sopy-doc poster poster/landscape.mdbuilt a portrait A1 poster from a file written for three landscape columns.py-doc.ymlkeeps the company's look: theme, colours, header, footer and fonts. A new test builds the file on its own and checks it is landscape A1. With the line removed, the test fails. The posters chapter says which settings go where. The layout goes with the words, so
orientation, columns, split, paperandwidthbelong in the front matter. The company's look is shared, so it belongs underposter:inpy-doc.yml.The posters chapter says how a poster is laid out, from the top down:
{.wide}sections and of columns, in section order; It includes an example of full width, two columns, full width, two columns, full width.
Fixes
main's red CI. A 40-word sentence in the barcode docs from Poster barcode block: Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A and ITF-14 #172 fails the docs lint step onmain, and it is split here.Tests
ruff check .passes, and so dopy-doc lint docs --strictand the examples'py-doc lint docs poster --strict.py-doc.ymlas one landscape A1 page.Generated by Claude Code
