I'm building GALA, a functional programming language for the Go ecosystem, and the tools around it.

Go, the functional way. GALA brings ideas from Scala and Kotlin (sealed types, pattern matching, Option instead of nil, immutable values) to Go. It compiles to plain Go, so it runs anywhere Go runs and uses any Go library. Go code can call GALA back, too.
161 releases so far, with an IDE plugin, a language server, and a Claude Code plugin.
galop — new
A parser generator, written in GALA. It takes the same grammar files as ANTLR and produces the same parse trees, but does its thinking when the parser is generated instead of while it runs, so there is no warm-up. On real code it parses 10× to 100×+ faster than ANTLR.
Since GALA 0.95, galop is the parser inside the GALA compiler, and builds got noticeably quicker.
| Project | What it is |
|---|---|
| gala-tui | A framework for building terminal apps, in the style of Elm. |
| gala-server | An HTTP server library with ready-made building blocks for auth, CORS, rate limiting and more. |
| gala-team | A terminal app that runs a small team of Claude agents (a lead, engineers, QA) and hands you a finished PR to review. |
