Quickstart: Production Stack (Docker Compose)

1. Environment Setup

cp .env.example .env
# Edit .env to set your database passwords and secure SECRET_KEY

2. Run Database Migrations

Migrations run via a dedicated migration runner to prevent multi-replica startup races:

docker compose -f docker-compose.prod.yml run --rm migration

3. Start Core Services

docker compose -f docker-compose.prod.yml up -d

4. Health & Observability Verification

• Process Liveness: curl -i http://localhost/health/live
• Dependency Readiness: curl -i http://localhost/health/ready
• Prometheus Metrics (Internal): curl -i http://127.0.0.1:8000/metrics
