Consolidate period and bureau modules, replace key and scope wrappers with stable name identities, and align domain-owned localized names.
Rename ZiweiBirth to Birth and ZiweiInput to Parameters, and align the planned from_parameters entry point across documentation and public API tests.

…lations Unify the two chart construction entry points and complete the eighteen stars, natal transformations, and on-demand decade and annual luck calculations. Provide read-only queries with compact star representations, fixed-capacity palace storage, and private position indices. Add public API and query tests. BREAKING CHANGE: Rename DecadeAge to DecadeAgeRange and Palace::decade_age to decade_age_range. DecadeYear::year now returns Option<i64>.
Verify both input forms, birth-year and self-transformations, transformations across all twelve palaces, and decade and annual luck against fixed complete charts and manually calculated cases. Document case derivations and the scope of expert validation.
Update object ownership, chart construction and query paths, confirmed decisions, and architecture diagrams. Complete public API examples and specify value domains, ordering, missing values, and error semantics for future bindings.
Keep chart construction and read-path benchmarks independent. Complete recorder validation, environment fingerprints, and comparable baselines. Configure the MSRV, consumers of the actual packaged crate, three-platform CI, and package metadata without enabling performance gates on shared runners.
Clarify existing authorization and read-only boundaries, and route tasks to the relevant domain and work-item guidelines. Standardize verification of GitHub operations and the semantics of triage labels.
Migrate benchmark recording and package verification into an isolated Rust workspace. Version the read-path sampling contract, preserve raw output and failure evidence, and separate fast tests from end-to-end checks across CI and MSRV validation.
Prioritize mise tools when CI already includes them on PATH without an activation record. Use pnpm shell emulation for literal cross-platform arguments and native path resolution for Windows short names. Cover root commands and build failures with and without activation state.
Adopt Rstest and Rslib with a single ESM package, TypeScript-only sources, and a Node 24.15 minimum. Centralize tasks in mise and dependencies in pnpm catalogs with devEngines validation. Migrate tooling tests, extend CI checks, and align package documentation.

* ci(pnpm): add isolated ppc64le source rebuild experiment Compare the official crashing binary against the same pnpm source and Rust version rebuilt with pinned Debian GNU cross tools. Preserve baseline failures and require exact artifact identity before probing the experimental binary. * ci(pnpm): validate rebuilt client with full candidate consumers Reuse the exact startup-verified experimental tool artifact while building and sealing a fresh same-run Ziwei cohort. Keep the daily official pnpm gates unchanged and label rebuilt-client evidence separately. * docs(ci): record successful ppc64le rebuild and consumer evidence * fix(ci): use same-run source-built pnpm for ppc64le candidates * docs(ci): record successful daily ppc64le candidate acceptance * ci(windows): capture diagnostic stages and isolated comparison * ci(windows): repeat paired diagnostic measurements * fix(windows): retain diagnostic stages when host probes time out Keep the original query scope, timeouts and assertions. Preserve flushed stage timings on stderr and redacted observations in test failures. Remove the temporary paired CI repetitions after collecting nine passing probe samples; the earlier 30-second timeout is not yet reproduced or explained. * test: harden workflow and resource lifecycle contracts Parse CI workflows structurally, register resource cleanup immediately, and handle early Worker exits. Observe xtask workload side effects and isolate live Windows diagnostics from product acceptance checks.
Implement the Rust crate domain capabilities in a standalone TypeScript package. Remove the shared projection package and legacy Node facade, and update documentation, tests, and benchmarks. BREAKING CHANGE: Replace the legacy Node facade API with the TypeScript domain API.

testEnvironment.prebundlenow defaults to'auto'. If a test environment behaves differently after the upgrade, set it tofalse. See Environment prebundle.Highlights
Rstest 0.12 adds E2E and Module Federation testing support, makes large test suites faster with VM pools and test environment prebundle, and introduces a new JavaScript API.
E2E testing support
@rstest/playwright integrates Playwright into Rstest, so unit tests, component tests, and E2E tests share one config, one set of commands, and the same reporters. Use
definePlaywrightConfigto get the same defaults as Playwright and customize them when needed. See E2E testing.Module Federation testing support
With the @module-federation/rstest plugin, tests import remote modules the same way a consumer application does. Rstest loads the real exposed modules and resolves shared dependencies, so integration problems between consumer and producer show up in unit tests. It works in Node, jsdom, happy-dom, and browser mode. See Module Federation.
New
vmThreadsandvmForkspoolsThe new vmThreads and vmForks pools reuse workers across test files and create a fresh
vm.Contextfor each file. Each file still gets its own JavaScript realm and module graph, while worker startup, dependency resolution, and V8 compilation are shared. This helps most in suites with many jsdom / happy-dom test files. On a jsdom benchmark project of 2,400 files and 20,000 tests (15 workers, every process starting from an empty cache):
forksvmThreadsTo limit the memory of a single worker, set pool.memoryLimit. Rstest replaces a worker once it exceeds the threshold. See Choose a pool type before switching.
Faster jsdom / happy-dom loading
Test environment prebundle is now enabled by default. Previously, every worker resolved and executed each module file of jsdom or happy-dom one by one. Rstest now builds the environment into one ESM bundle that all workers share.
On a benchmark of 100 files and 1,000 tests:
A new JavaScript API
createRstest makes it easier to integrate Rstest into tools, IDEs, and other Node.js programs. It shares the same core execution capabilities as the
rstestcommand, so you can run tests, watch, list tests, and merge blob reports from code. See Rstest instance. What's Changed
