Trilium Next – Typora Dark Theme

A custom dark theme for Trilium Next inspired by Typora’s default dark mode and GitHub Dark.
Designed for a calm, distraction-free workspace with smooth contrast, soft blues, and a minimalist feel.

1

Features

  • Typora-style dark palette based on GitHub’s dark colors (#0d1117, #161b22, #58a6ff)
  • Flat launcher buttons with subtle hover glow
  • Unified dark scrollbars across all panes
  • Polished code blocks and inline code
  • Muted side panes for less visual strain
  • Clean font stack using Inter and modern system fonts
  • Fully compatible with Trilium Next

Installation

  1. Download:
    Save the file as typora-dark.css

  2. Add to Trilium Next:

Import into note → Add Attribute "#appTheme=typora-dark" → Reload Trilium "Ctrl+r"

  3. Activate the Theme:

Options → Appearance → Select Theme → Typora Dark

Alternatively, download typora-dark.zip and import into notes.

Design Notes

This theme recreates Typora’s balanced dark layout for Trilium users who prefer softer contrast and fluid readability.

Launcher, sidebar, and attribute panes use subtly darker tones than the editor for better focus.
Hover highlights use GitHub’s accent blue for visual clarity without hard borders.

Recommended Fonts

  • Body: Inter, Helvetica, Arial
  • Code: SF Mono, Consolas, Fira Code, Menlo

For best results, install Inter locally.
