Civil engineer (Ingeniero de Caminos) and PhD in Computational Mechanics, based in Barcelona.
I work on engineering problems where the physics matters: structural dynamics, fluid–structure interaction, shallow water flows and material modelling. Code is how I get there. When a problem needs a new tool, a new language or a library I haven't used before, I learn it and use it.
- Structures: vibration and comfort assessment, progressive collapse, non-linear analysis, forensic analysis of heritage structures
- Fluids: CFD for wind and fire loads, shallow water equations, landslide-generated waves
- Numerical methods: finite elements, particle methods (PFEM), stabilized formulations for hyperbolic problems
- Materials: constitutive modelling and calibration of hyperelastic and electroactive polymers
- Consulting engineer and head of development at SOCOTEC Spain (2022–2025), linking analysis models with BIM
- Researcher at CIMNE (PhD 2017–2022, postdoc 2025–2026)
- Lecturer at UPC Barcelona School of Civil Engineering: Structural Dynamics and Numerical Methods
