Summary

Dependabot titles read chore(deps): Bump …, and Dependabot has no option to lowercase the verb. So every Dependabot PR failed Validate Pull Request / Title: #20, #29, #30, #31, #33 and #41 all did, which is why #48 replaced them.

For PRs opened by dependabot[bot] only:

  • the committed step lowercases that one word (): Bump → ): bump ) before checking
  • action-semantic-pull-request's subjectPattern also accepts a leading Bump

Every other title is held to the same rules as before. A Dependabot squash commit will start with "Bump".

Test plan

  • actionlint and yamllint
  • The rewritten Dependabot title passes committed locally
  • This PR's own title check (covers the non-Dependabot path)
  • The next Dependabot PR's title check (covers the Dependabot path)

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Dependabot titles read "chore(deps): Bump ..." and it has no option to
lowercase the verb, so every Dependabot PR failed both the committed step
and action-semantic-pull-request's lowercase-subject pattern. For PRs
Dependabot opens, the committed step lowercases that one word and the
subject pattern also accepts a leading "Bump ". Every other title is held
to the same rules as before.
