Summary

  • musher-dev/company is being deleted. Every place that named it as an owner now names the current one: positioning, product vocabulary and the customer glossary are owned by musher-dev/pelorus; platform domain nouns and engineering terminology by musher-dev/platform (.claude/rules/terminology.md) and musher-dev/pelorus; teams and their membership by musher-dev/infra-github; how the company operates is no longer kept in a repository.
  • Changed in place: the README's "Not owned here" table, the decisions index (docs/decisions/README.md), and EC-0038's scope paragraph (public-copy.md).
  • Accepted decision records keep their text. Decisions 0000, 0008, 0020 and 0024 each gain a short dated note (2026-10-11). This repository changes a decision only through a record that supersedes or amends it (docs/decisions/README.md, template.md), and the boundary those records decided hasn't changed, only an owner's name. So a note fits better than a rewrite or a new amending record. The charter's note says the README holds the current owners.

Consumer impact

  • Requirement IDs touched: none (EC-0038's scope prose names a different owner; nothing it checks or reports changes)
  • Change class: Prose clarified without changing what is checked or reported (docs)
  • Breaking? no

AI usage

  • This PR contains code generated by AI coding agents
  • I have manually reviewed and tested all AI-generated logic

Test plan

  • task check passes locally (prose:lint clean, conventions:self reports no findings, 953 conftest tests pass, bundle builds and verifies)
  • A new or changed conftest requirement ships a fixture repo that expects it (task cli:test): not applicable, no requirement changed
  • Generated files were regenerated with task generate, never hand-edited (generate:check passes with no drift)

Follow-on issues

  • company is still a registered repository system (repository.system.company in definitions/terminology/global.yml, REPO-09, and the table in repository-names.md). Whether it stays registered once the repository is gone is a terminology change (feat! if removed), so it's left for its own PR.
  • Decisions 0003, 0007, 0008 (Consequences and options), 0012 and 0021 also mention company decisions or "the company" in passing. They're history and don't name musher-dev/company as an owner, so they're unchanged.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

musher-dev/company is being deleted. The README's ownership table, the
decisions index and EC-0038's scope now name the current owners:
positioning, product vocabulary and the customer glossary move to
musher-dev/pelorus; platform domain nouns stay with musher-dev/platform
and pelorus; teams and membership are musher-dev/infra-github; how the
company operates is no longer kept in a repository.

Accepted decision records keep their text. Decisions 0000, 0008, 0020
and 0024 gain a short dated note instead, as this repository changes a
decision only by a record that supersedes or amends it, and the
boundary these records decided is unchanged; only an owner's name is.
