🩺 Stability & Availability | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Guard std::getenv("CUNLS_SOLVER") before passing it to %s.
CUNLS_BENCHMARK_REPEATS can be set without CUNLS_SOLVER. In that case SolverTypeFromEnv() falls back to BlockSparsePCG, and std::getenv("CUNLS_SOLVER") returns nullptr. Passing nullptr to a %s conversion is undefined behavior. glibc prints (null), but other C runtimes can crash. Line 446 already guards this case. The SBA_SYMBOLIC, SBA_LINEAR, SBA_MEMORY, SBA_RESIDUAL, and SBA_WARM records do not. Compute the solver label once and use that label in every record.
🐛 Proposed fix
if (const char *repeat_env = std::getenv("CUNLS_BENCHMARK_REPEATS")) {
int repeats = std::max(1, std::atoi(repeat_env));
+ const char *solver_label =
+ std::getenv("CUNLS_SOLVER") ? std::getenv("CUNLS_SOLVER") : "BlockSparsePCG";
...
- std::printf("SBA_SYMBOLIC scale=%s solver=%s ms=%.6f\n", params.label,
- std::getenv("CUNLS_SOLVER"), init_ms);
+ std::printf("SBA_SYMBOLIC scale=%s solver=%s ms=%.6f\n", params.label, solver_label,
+ init_ms);Apply the same replacement to the SBA_LINEAR, SBA_MEMORY, SBA_RESIDUAL, and SBA_WARM printf calls. For the second repeats block, use a shared solver_label defined before both blocks.
