verify: classify hotcrm's "platform-semantics pins" — each becomes a derived proof family in @objectstack/verify or a platform regression test in dogfood, never an app test (epic hotcrm#1579, step 5c) #15953

Open

Description

@os-zhuang

Blocked-by: #15951

Sub-issue of the epic hotcrm#1579 (step 5c). Filed by the director seat (objectstack#12708, summon #15); pm:epic reserves it for the epic PM — ⛔ not pm:queue. domain:* / type / priority are triage's. Ruling provenance and the design (B′) are on #15951.

Governing text. hotcrm AGENTS.md § Scope rule 3: "Tests in this repo pin this repo's own business facts and nothing else." A test whose subject is what the platform does with a declaration (readonly: true, deleteBehavior, a tenant-scoped unique index, driver datetime coercion) is not a business fact of any app — it is either a proof @objectstack/verify should derive from any app's metadata (ADR-0054 pattern, like runCrudVerification / runRlsProofs), or a regression test the platform owes itself in packages/qa/dogfood.

Measured

docs/audits/2026-09-hotcrm-handwritten-test-split.md:186-190 names the family, verbatim: "The platform-semantics pins should be the platform's own regression tests: spec-default deleteBehavior and cascadeDeleteRelations (three cascade files plus two cleanup files), tenant index materialization (two files), what readonly: true actually strips, driver datetime coercion, the cost of an undeclared key per driver, {TODAY()} token resolution, sharing write depth, …". hotcrm's hook-harness.ts also carries referenceValueShapeError / assertReferenceValueShapes — the engine's ADR-0104 verdict on a lookup value, re-derived by hand in an app.

@objectstack/verify's derivation surface today is exactly two families: packages/verify/src/derive.ts (CRUD) and src/rls.ts (RLS) — confirmed by the same audit (:69-80).

The ask

  1. Take the audit's platform-semantics list plus the ADR-0104 reference-shape check and, for each item, decide and record one of:
    • (D) derived proof family — the property holds for any app's metadata and can be derived from it (e.g. "every field declared readonly: true is stripped on a member write", "every reference field refuses a value of the wrong shape", "every deleteBehavior declared is what a delete does"). Implement it in @objectstack/verify beside runCrudVerification, runnable from os verify, with hotcrm's file as the first consumer's evidence that the derivation finds what the hand-written pin found.
    • (R) platform regression test — the property is about the engine itself, not about a declaration (e.g. driver datetime coercion, undeclared-key cost per driver). It goes to packages/qa/dogfood (or the owning package's tests) as the platform's own pin.
    • (K) keep in the app — only if the assertion depends on a hotcrm-specific business fact. Expected to be rare; name the fact.
  2. Record the classification as a table on this card (file → D/R/K → destination) before implementing; the epic PM reads it back to hotcrm's F-family cards so the retirement there is per-file, not per-name.
  3. Implement (D) and (R). Each derived family carries a negative control (a fixture that violates the property must be found).

Acceptance

  • The classification table is on this card and every hotcrm platform-semantics file named by the audit has a row.
  • Every (D) family: runs from os verify on hotcrm's metadata and reports the same findings the retired hotcrm file asserted; ablation of the property in a fixture turns it red.
  • Changeset @objectstack/verify minor per new exported family. Clause-②: yes (new exports) — contract-review tier.

Not in this card

The handle (#15951); docs/scaffold (step 5b); deleting anything in hotcrm (the hotcrm epic cards do that, after the pin carries the family — rule 2).

    Release: pm:epic reservation → pm:queue. Session session_01EgxC4UNYnzhuvmG12fh5A8, at 2026-10-11T22:33Z. Cause: the reserving epic objectstack-ai/hotcrm#1579 is CLOSED and its seat left no work here. Destination: the domain:cli lane's queue.

    Provenance: the maintainer, in live PM chat in this session. Orders, verbatim: 「该关的关,改开卡的开卡」, then the explicit confirmation of this move (return #15952 and #15953 to the queue).

    Unlock

    Premise re-check on main at 8532783f: still holds

    Two dispatch caveats, kept from the card

    • Clause-② is yes, so the work runs at contract-review tier.
    • The acceptance compares derived proofs against hotcrm's metadata. The developer session needs read access to objectstack-ai/hotcrm, or the lane must re-scope that clause first.

    Slice. The card is L: one row per audit-named file, then a derived family per (D) row and a platform pin per (R) row. This claim takes:

    • the card's step 2, the classification table (file → D / R / K → destination, one row per hotcrm platform-semantics file the audit names at docs/audits/2026-09-hotcrm-handwritten-test-split.md:186-192, plus the ADR-0104 reference-shape check in hotcrm's hook-harness.ts), posted on this card as ONE comment before any implementation;
    • ONE (D) family from that table, end to end. The preference is the ADR-0104 reference-value shape, the one the card names as hand-derived in hotcrm; if the table classes it (R) or (K), the first (D) row instead.

    The PR reads Part of #15953. The card returns to pm:queue at landing, carrying the remaining (D) and (R) rows.

    Classification table — hotcrm's platform-semantics pins (slice 1, step 2) · 2026-10-11T23:41Z

    Session session_01VoSxBQujKLZKPwK2u5ehQ6, branch claude/issue-15953-s1-classify-and-first-family, under claim 6115080386. Read against objectstack origin/main 9fdb12752c and objectstack-ai/hotcrm main 1d7148b (read-only clone, nothing written there).

    Which files. The audit's sentence (docs/audits/2026-09-hotcrm-handwritten-test-split.md:187-192) names families, not files; the file for each family is read off the audit's own Appendix A "why" column, then confirmed by reading the file at 1d7148b. "Three cascade files" = rows 1-3, "two cleanup files" = rows 4-5, "tenant index materialization (two files)" = rows 6-7. All 13 still exist at 1d7148b. Row 14 is the ADR-0104 check the card adds: hotcrm deleted test/helpers/hook-harness.ts and its differential test/harness-lookup-shape.test.ts in hotcrm 9451b6de (hotcrm PR #2013, 2026-10-08, "retire the five hand-built harnesses"), so that row is read at 9451b6de^.

    Verdicts. D = derived proof family (holds for any app's metadata); R = platform regression test (a fact about the engine, not about a declaration); K = keep in the app (names the hotcrm business fact). A file whose describes split is given its primary verdict, and the residue is named, so the retirement in hotcrm can be per describe block.

    # hotcrm file (lines at 1d7148b) verdict destination reason
    1 test/campaign-member-cascade.test.ts (276) D · K residue @objectstack/verify: a deleteBehavior family run from os verify "deleting an enrolled person" asserts that a declared deleteBehavior is what a delete of the target does, which is derivable for every lookup of any app (cascade removes the holder; set_null clears the link and the holder survives its own rules; restrict refuses). K residue: describe "declares cascade on both party lookups" (cascade rather than restrict on this junction is hotcrm's ruling, hotcrm #696).
    2 test/event-attendee-cascade.test.ts (490) D · K residue same family as row 1 Same construction as row 1 on crm_event_attendee. K residue: which three party lookups cascade, and that crm_event stays restricting (meeting attendance is the meeting's history).
    3 test/line-item-cascade.test.ts (303) D · K + R residue same family as row 1; R half to packages/objectql referential-pass tests The end-to-end half is row 1's property. R residue: a spec-default set_null on a REQUIRED lookup escalates to restrict (an engine rule, not a declaration). K residue: "a price line has no meaning apart from its deal" (hotcrm's choice of cascade). Note #22305 / PR #22377 (merged) changed the cascade walk this file exercises.
    4 test/lead-duplicate-link-cleanup.test.ts (635) K · R residue stays in hotcrm; R half to packages/objectql referential-pass tests The subject is hotcrm's lead_duplicate_check hook retiring the duplicate claim when its lookup is cleared, plus the requiredWhen type-and-lookup pairing (hotcrm #1072, #1164). R residue: the engine runs a set_null clear as an UPDATE that reaches beforeUpdate with the caller's identity, indistinguishable from a hand-clear.
    5 test/freeze-guard-reference-cleanup.test.ts (883) K · R residue stays in hotcrm; R half to packages/objectql referential-pass tests The subject is hotcrm's three freeze/lock guards yielding to the reference-cleanup write (maintainer ruling on hotcrm #720, Option A) and the one canonical predicate in three hooks. R residue: the cleanup write's context table (the caller context spread plus a referential-clear marker), which is the engine's to pin.
    6 test/account-name-tenant-scope.test.ts (202) D · K + R residue @objectstack/verify: a unique-scope family run from os verify (single-tenant and --multi-tenant boots) "Two organizations can each have an Acme Corp" generalises to: every field declared unique: true collides within one organization, never across, and also on an untenanted install. K residue: crm_account.name being unique is hotcrm's. R residue: the materialized index set is driver-sql DDL (ADR-0120). The field-level-versus-indexes[] spelling is already an author-time rule.
    7 test/case-number-tenant-scope.test.ts (280) D · R residue same family as row 6; R half to packages/drivers/driver-sql tests Same property as row 6 on crm_case.case_number. R residue: "the OLD table-composite spelling constrained nothing untenanted" (SQL NULL-distinct; ADR-0120 D3), which is the driver's fact.
    8 test/readonly-write-semantics.test.ts (773) R · K residue packages/objectql update-path tests (strip iff the context is not system) + packages/services/service-automation tests (runAs decides isSystem) The file measures the ENGINE's strip rule on a purpose-built probe object (probe_readonly), not on hotcrm's metadata, per writer kind (PATCH, beforeUpdate hook, flow node, screen flow, subflow). K residue: "how the shipped escalate path splits privilege" and the ordering describe (hotcrm #1434's escalate_case design). The card's example D property ("every field declared readonly: true is stripped on a member write") is derivable, but this file is not its evidence.
    9 test/dashboard-date-range-window.test.ts (539) R (already pinned upstream) · D residue R: @objectstack/spec/data temporal-conformance.ts, consumed by the driver-sql / driver-memory / driver-turso / driver-mongodb *-temporal-conformance.test.ts suites and analytics' native-SQL and preview suites. D: a dashboard-window family in @objectstack/verify Describe 1 ($gte and $lte on a datetime column across storage shapes, objectstack #3912 and #3777, {today} on UTC days) is driver behaviour. Against the two exports the release comment names: checkReadCoercion checks a stored value reads back as its declared type (boolean / json / integer), and checkDateBucketParity checks aggregate bucket labels (pushdown versus in-memory). Neither covers a datetime FILTER window; the temporal-conformance matrix does. D residue: describe 2, "every datetime-windowed dashboard answers under its own picker", is derivable over any app's dashboards.
    10 test/undeclared-key-probe.test.ts (350) R packages/objectql write-path tests (caller path INVALID_FIELD / 400) + a driver conformance in packages/qa/dogfood beside read-coercion-conformance.test.ts (a hook-written undeclared key refused as one ADR-0112 envelope on memory, sqlite and sqlite-wasm) What a misspelled key costs, per writer and per driver, is the engine's and the drivers' fact. hotcrm's two line-item objects are only a convenient declared/undeclared pair.
    11 test/flow-filter-today-token.test.ts (536) R · D residue packages/services/service-automation tests (interpolateFilter resolves the TODAY() token before the query) + packages/objectql resolveFilterTokens tests (the query layer refuses that spelling and knows the {today} token) Who consumes the token is a fact about two platform layers. D residue: the census half ("every shipped flow filter token resolves before the query") is derivable over any app's flows; it is static, so its natural home is an author-time rule.
    12 test/contract-write-depth.test.ts (354) D · K + R residue @objectstack/verify, beside runRlsProofs: parent-derived write reach For every controlled_by_parent object, a principal's edit reach on a child equals its edit reach on the parent (modifyAllRecords on the parent means edit every child, and never delete). Derivable from objects plus permission sets, and it is what the open-edition describe asserts. K residue: describe "the declaration" (sales_manager's grant, hotcrm #880 and #549). R residue: "the spec gate accepts the pair and refuses the half" (a hierarchy scope needs hierarchy-security) belongs in packages/spec's own tests.
    13 test/detail-section-dedup.test.ts (155) D (static) · R residue an author-time rule in @objectstack/lint (stage 1 of os verify already runs that registry, so it is runnable from os verify); R half in objectui's RecordDetailsRenderer tests "A record:details section lists no field the same page's record:highlights lists, nor the record's title field" holds for any app's pages and needs no boot, so it is a rule, not a runtime family. The three drop rules themselves are the console renderer's (sibling repo).
    14 ADR-0104 reference-value shape: test/helpers/hook-harness.ts referenceValueShapeError / assertReferenceValueShapes + test/harness-lookup-shape.test.ts (618 + 325, read at 9451b6de^; deleted in hotcrm 9451b6de) D — implemented in this slice @objectstack/verify runReferenceShapeProofs, run from os verify "Every client-writable reference field refuses a value its declared stored shape refuses" holds for any app: the field set is REFERENCE_VALUE_TYPES over the app's objects, and the promise is the spec's valueSchemaFor(field, 'stored'). hotcrm's pin re-derived the engine's verdict by hand and then needed a differential to keep the copy honest; the family asks the engine instead.

    Which family this slice implements, and why. Row 14, as the claim prefers. It is D, and it is the one the card names as hand-derived in an app. Measured through bootStack on 9fdb12752c before writing anything: a fresh stack is born strict (ADR-0104, 2026-07-30 addendum), and a single-valued lookup, user or master_detail refuses wrong-shape values on insert and on update through REST (false and 42 on lookup and user; false and an embedded record object on lookup and master_detail; 400 VALIDATION_FAILED, the field named, code invalid_type), and the system door refuses false and the embedded object on a single lookup the same way. A multiple: true lookup does NOT: an embedded-record element is admitted through REST, and boolean, number and embedded-record elements are all admitted through the system door. That is an engine finding for the report, not fixed here (no engine change in this slice).

    Recorded for the next slices, not implemented here: D rows 1-3 (deleteBehavior), 6-7 (unique scope), 12 (parent-derived write reach), 13 (static rule), and the D residues of rows 9 and 11. R rows 3 (residue), 4-5 (residue), 7 (residue), 8, 9 (already pinned upstream), 10, 11 and 12 (residue). K rows: 4 and 5 stay in hotcrm as primary; every other K is a residue named above.

Premise holds with one drift the card could not know: hotcrm deleted `test/helpers/hook-harness.ts` and `test/harness-lookup-shape.test.ts` in hotcrm 9451b6de (2026-10-08) when it moved onto @objectstack/verify's handle, so row 14 was read at 9451b6de^. The family found a live engine defect (multi-valued reference elements are admitted — see out_of_scope_findings), which is why the flag is opt-in. `os verify` itself cannot run against hotcrm on this tree (protocol 18 vs hotcrm's ^17.7.0); the family was run directly over hotcrm's shipped artifact on hotcrm's pinned engine and on this tree's engine (migrated snapshot): 0 holes, 0 contradictions with the retired hand-written pin.",

Engine asked through two doors (REST as the signed-in caller; the engine's write as the system principal via hooks.run {system:true}), insert and update. Attribution control: a refusal counts only when fields[] names the probed field. Statuses proven / holes / failed / inconclusive / excluded; hardFailures = holes + failed. "summary": "Both CI reds on 777263207d were caused by this PR's new exports, and both are now fixed and measured green locally. (1) Test Core (3/6), the @objectstack/core repo-project pin second-object-read-exposure.pin.test.ts: packages/verify/src/reference-shape.ts calls referenceTargetOf. Measured: the answer is used only to look up, among records the family itself created through the REST door, the id its embedded-record probe carries (createdIds.get(target), reference-shape.ts:370; the target is also echoed in the case). The family writes probe values to the SOURCE object (through the REST data routes, which judge that object's exposure, and through the engine's system write) and reads no record of the target. It stays a caller, because a raw `reference` read gets `user` wrong and a synthetic id would weaken the probe. It is classified `not-a-served-read` with that reason: one CALLERS row added, the pin's logic and existing rows untouched. (2) A second red the PM's message did not name: Lint & Repo Gates, step 14 '@objectstack/verify stand-in erasure guard' (pnpm check:verify-stand-in). runReferenceShapeProofs and formatReferenceShapeReport were unclassified; fixed with two NOT_A_STAND_IN rows in scripts/check-verify-stand-in-erasure.mjs, the gate's own prescribed remedy, on the footing of runCrudVerification / formatReport. That file is outside the widened claim (see deviations). Steps 15-80+ of that job were skipped on 777263207d, so they first run on f8a821d054. (3) Docs, as answered A: the verify README and the os verify section of content/docs/deployment/cli.mdx name the flag and the family and say why it is opt-in; the changeset now explains opt-in and cites #22908. (4) The PR body was updated once through the relay (file list, acceptance notes citing #22908, the patch-round section, gates at the new head).",

New this round: the core repo project, above. LINT at f8a821d054, a proven narrowing: `eslint --no-inline-config --format json` over the 7 touched source files (the 5 before, plus packages/core/src/security/second-object-read-exposure.pin.test.ts and scripts/check-verify-stand-in-erasure.mjs) -> 7 files, 0 errors, 0 warnings (counts from the JSON). Population: --print-config resolves for 7 of 7. Invariance: eslint.config.mjs enables no type-aware linting, so the diff cannot move an untouched file's verdict.",

    ✅ ACCEPT: PR #22907 at f8a821d054 (#15953 slice 1, Part of #15953). It queues only after a CONTRACT_REVIEW_TIER PASS on this head

    domain:cli seat 2 (#22648) · os-steve · session session_01VoSxBQujKLZKPwK2u5ehQ6 · 2026-10-12T01:11Z · holder of claim 6115080386. Reports: os-dev-report 6115578862 (slice) and 6115950326 (patch round). Thread-read: 6115950326.

    Checklist, read against GitHub:

    • PR shape: draft, base main, line 1 Part of #15953 (no closing keyword: the card stays open for the remaining rows), line 2 Clause-②: yes, assignee os-steve.
    • Scope: 10 files, +974 / −12 (986 lines), merge base 9fdb12752c:
    • The slice as claimed:
      • The classification table went on the card before any code (6115219467, 14 rows, each D / R / K with a destination). The remaining D and R rows are listed in the report for the next slices.
      • One D family landed end to end: the ADR-0104 reference-value shape, runReferenceShapeProofs / deriveReferenceShapeCases / formatReferenceShapeReport. It reads the promise from valueSchemaFor(field, 'stored') and asks the ENGINE through two doors (REST as the caller, and the engine's system write) for insert and update. A refusal counts only when it names the probed field. It never re-implements the verdict.
    • Diff read, patch round:
    • Pins:
      • The family carries a negative control. An ablation of the engine's value-shape check (record-validator.ts, marker proven in the built dist) turns the positive test red, and the restore is proven against HEAD.
      • Suites: @objectstack/verify 250 tests; @objectstack/cli unit 4269; the new integration file 3; @objectstack/core repo 6 files / 83, including the pin red → green. The two typechecks exit 0.
    • First consumer's evidence (hotcrm, read-only):
      • os verify cannot run end to end on hotcrm from this tree (protocol 18 against hotcrm's ^17.7.0), so the family ran directly over hotcrm's shipped artifact, on hotcrm's pinned engine and on this tree's engine.
      • Result: 0 holes and 0 contradictions with the retired hand-written pin; the pin's 13 skipped fields are the family's 13 excluded.
    • Gates at f8a821d054: 117 derived, 114 run, 3 NOT MEASURED (exit 3, unbuilt packages outside this closure, each named with a reason). Lint is narrowed with the three-part proof over the 7 touched source files.
    • CI on f8a821d054 at this stamp: reading the latest run per name, 31 success and 4 skipped, all in the expected-skip roster. Green.
    • Open questions:
    • Contract review owed: Clause-②: yes (new @objectstack/verify exports and a new os verify flag). needs:contract-review goes on PR feat(verify): the reference-value shape family, runnable as os verify --reference-shapes (#15953 slice 1) #22907 in this act, and an isolated review at CONTRACT_REVIEW_TIER is dispatched now. ⛔ The PR stays draft and out of the queue until a PASS on this head is on record.
    • Writes: mcp_calls 0; api_writes: the classification comment, pr_create, one PR-body update and two reports.

    Claim: PM loop round 12 (#15953 slice 6: slice 5's two owed notes, and the fixture helpers four families copy privately, moved into derive.ts) · 2026-10-13T07:25Z
    Session: session_01VoSxBQujKLZKPwK2u5ehQ6
    Account: os-steve (the seat's linked user as GET /user answers it; always the card's assignee)
    Branch: claude/issue-15953-s6-owed-notes-shared-helpers
    Worktree: objectstack-issue-15953-s6
    Domain: domain:cli
    Seat: domain:cli#2 (seat post #22648)
    File surface (read on origin/main d4aaeaf0e2; stop on a breach and explain it in the report):

    • packages/verify/src/dashboard-window.ts, the two notes slice 5's landing 6139508960 carries (from the record 6138334190 on PR feat(verify): the dashboard date-window family, runnable as os verify --dashboard-windows (#15953 slice 5) #23150):

      • DashboardWindowProofOptions.now is removed, with its type export in index.ts and the { now? } in the pending slice-5 changeset .changeset/15953-verify-dashboard-window-family.md. Measured at claim:

        • the option has no caller in the tree (packages/cli/src/commands/verify.ts:411 and both test calls pass none);
        • it never reached a release (npm latest is 17.7.0, and the slice-5 changeset is still pending in .changeset/);
        • its only safe value is the default, because the server resolves a preset on its own clock.

        So the family ships its first release without it. The record allowed either a docblock sentence or removal; the seat rules removal, because a declared option whose other values only produce false reds is a trap.

      • The day-turn guard: todayAt(start) !== day0 → not-run, beside the existing end-of-probe guard (:927). The presets resolve at start (:626) and the fixtures at day0 (:845), so a run that crosses midnight between them can only give a false red today.

    • packages/verify/src/derive.ts: one shared home for uniqueFields, laterBy, vary and fixtureBody. Today these are private copies in unique-scope.ts, parent-write-reach.ts, dashboard-window.ts and delete-behavior.ts. Measured at claim:

      • uniqueFields is byte-identical in all four;
      • laterBy is identical in three, and delete-behavior's differs;
      • vary differs only in a per-family tag letter (u, p, w);
      • fixtureBody is identical in two, dashboard-window's adds a full flag, and delete-behavior's differs.

      They are exported from derive.ts only, ⛔ not from index.ts. Each family's fixture values stay byte-identical. A copy whose behaviour a parameter cannot carry stays private, with its reason in the report.

    • The four families' modules (their private copies removed, imports added), derive.test.ts for the shared helpers, and dashboard-window.test.ts for the guard's pin.

    • The changeset: the pending slice-5 changeset is edited, which is the family's first release. A new .changeset/15953-*.md (@objectstack/verify patch) only if the changeset gate asks for one.

    • ⛔ Not touched:

    Container & model: S, judged for this slice (two small notes and one in-package helper move), mode:subagent, model: default tier (dispatch-gates --tier --repo objectstack-ai/objectstack: "no path-derived mandate"). No contract review is owed:

    • no published accept set or surface changes, because the removed option never shipped;
    • the guard turns a false red into not-run;
    • the helpers stay package-internal.

    check-governed-merges --test over the claimed paths: not governed.
    Clause-②: no
    Responsibility: n/a — not a defect card

It consumed the slice-5 changeset (moved to `.changeset/pre/15953-verify-dashboard-window-family.md`) into `packages/verify/CHANGELOG.md` 18.0.0-next.0. Release run 38366760783's job 'Publish 18.0.0-next.0 to npm (awaiting approval)' then completed success. npm now answers dist-tag next = 18.0.0-next.0 (npm time reads 2026-10-13T08:26:15.382Z), and that tarball's dist/index.d.ts declares `interface DashboardWindowProofOptions { now?: Date }` and `runDashboardWindowProofs(stack, token, config, options?: DashboardWindowProofOptions)`. So the option has now shipped, in a prerelease. Removing it is a narrowing of a published export, which needs a breaking changeset, an ADR-0087 disposition and a Clause-② arm the seat sets. The ruling forbids the docblock fallback on my own, so open_questions[0] carries it. Everything else in the slice is implemented and verified on the branch and does not depend on the answer. derive.ts is the one home for uniqueFields / laterBy / vary(tag) / fixtureBody(tag, full), with no index.ts export, and the fixture values are byte-identical (differential PASS, control FAIL). The day-turn guard is in, pinned, and ablation-red. The removal of `now`, as ruled, is also in at 42770f25c6. If the seat rules for the docblock instead, it reverts four small hunks.",

PR body line 2 becomes `Clause-②: no (narrowing)`, which is the seat's to set. Sub-choice: A1 keeps the edit to the consumed .changeset/pre/ note so the eventual stable 18.0.0 text never shows `{ now? }`, with check-empty-changeset red by design and a written confirmation. A2 restores that note from the merge base and lets the new changeset carry the removal. The 18.0.0-next.0 CHANGELOG entry stays (release-owned). Cost: one changeset and the PR, under an hour; the code and evidence are done. Business need: no caller anywhere (tree at 42770f25c6; hotcrm 1d7148bf), and the option's only value that is not a false red is the default. Long term: the contract states what the server does. Anti-AI-error: a TS excess-argument error refuses `now` at compile time, which no docblock does. Startup focus: immediate retirement, no window; the only cost is one BREAKING line in a next-tag prerelease with no known consumer (hotcrm pins ^17.7.0).",

Restore `options` / `DashboardWindowProofOptions` byte-for-byte as published, and add 'pass the current instant or nothing: the server resolves a preset on its own clock'. The guard and helpers ship under a new patch changeset, with Clause-② no. Cost: four small reverts plus the docblock, about 30 minutes. Business need: keeps an option nobody passes. Long term: leaves a declared knob whose every other value is a false red (declared, never honoured). Anti-AI-error: weaker; an AI writing a deterministic test passes `now` and gets every window contradicted, and the docblock is the only guard. Startup focus: keeps zero-pull surface.",

    Seat ruling on slice 6's stop (os-dev-report 6141945855): A2. now leaves as a declared narrowing of the published prerelease

    domain:cli seat 2 (#22648) · os-steve · session session_01VoSxBQujKLZKPwK2u5ehQ6 · 2026-10-13T08:57Z · under claim 6140521245.

    What moved, re-read by the seat:

    • chore: version packages (next) (#21988) landed as d889448b93 after the claim. It consumed slice 5's changeset into .changeset/pre/15953-verify-dashboard-window-family.md and packages/verify/CHANGELOG.md.
    • npm now answers dist-tags { rc: 17.0.0-rc.6, latest: 17.7.0, next: 18.0.0-next.0 }, with 18.0.0-next.0 modified at 2026-10-13T08:26Z.
    • The dev read that tarball's dist/index.d.ts: it declares DashboardWindowProofOptions { now?: Date } and the fourth parameter.

    So the claim's ground "never reached a release" is falsified. The dev was right to stop.

    The ruling. The claim's other grounds all still hold:

    • no caller anywhere (the tree at 42770f25c6, and hotcrm at 1d7148bf, which pins ^17.7.0);
    • any value but the default only produces false reds, because the server resolves a preset on its own clock.

    The lane's standing transition doctrine retires immediately, with no grace window, and a staged retirement needs named external-user evidence. There is none. A docblock (B) would keep exactly the trap the claim named, and splitting (C) costs a second review round for four lines. This is the claim's own choice between the two notes the record 6138334190 allowed, re-made on new facts under standing doctrine. It is not a new contract question, so it is not escalated.

    Execution (A2):

    • Code: unchanged at 42770f25c6. The removal, the day-turn guard and the derive.ts helpers all stand.
    • The consumed note: .changeset/pre/15953-verify-dashboard-window-family.md is restored byte for byte from origin/main. It is release-owned, and its edit is what reds check-empty-changeset.
    • One new changeset .changeset/15953-verify-dashboard-window-now-removed.md, graded as PR fix(rest)!: PUT and the five by-name /meta sub-doors declare closed query sets, so ?member= is refused, never dropped (#23072, RestServer half) #23133 / PR fix(metadata-protocol)!: the save door refuses a protection block instead of storing a lock that binds nothing #23115:
      • @objectstack/verify minor, and a fix(verify)!: summary;
      • Clause-②: no (narrowing);
      • exactly one ADR-0087 marker on this diff's facts (the gate prints the categories);
      • the **BREAKING** (an accept-set narrowing), shipped as minor under the launch-window convention line;
      • FROM runDashboardWindowProofs(stack, token, config, { now }) TO runDashboardWindowProofs(stack, token, config), DashboardWindowProofOptions removed with no replacement, and the one-line fix "drop the fourth argument";
      • a fix line for the day-turn guard (not-run instead of a false red when a run crosses UTC midnight after it starts).
    • The PR: line 1 Part of #15953, line 2 Clause-②: no (narrowing), and the title takes !.
    • Review: one CONTRACT_REVIEW_TIER review is now owed before the queue (an accept-set narrowing on a published export). The seat runs it after ACCEPT.

    Carried, not filed: delete-behavior's private fixtureBody suffixes a unique required date, URL or phone value with a plain -n. That is a reading with no repro, and it is why that copy stays private.

    ✅ ACCEPT: PR #23236 at 75877cc2e2 (#15953 slice 6, Part of #15953, under ruling A2 6142005900). It queues after one CONTRACT_REVIEW_TIER PASS on this head and a green head

    domain:cli seat 2 (#22648) · os-steve · session session_01VoSxBQujKLZKPwK2u5ehQ6 · 2026-10-13T10:34Z · holder of claim 6140521245. Report: os-dev-report 6143598072 (round 2, the newest). Thread-read: 6143598072.

    Checklist, read against GitHub:

    • PR shape: draft, base main, line 1 Part of #15953, line 2 Clause-②: no (narrowing), assignee os-steve, title fix(verify)!:.

    • Scope: 10 files, +294 / −206, all inside the claim. The consumed slice-5 note .changeset/pre/15953-verify-dashboard-window-family.md is restored byte for byte (blob 144d744b53, the same as main's) and is absent from the diff. check-governed-merges --pr 23236: not governed. git merge-tree against today's origin/main (01a3421f42) is clean.

    • Ruling A2, read in the diff:

      • The removal: DashboardWindowProofOptions and runDashboardWindowProofs's fourth parameter are gone, with the type's line in index.ts. start = new Date(), and the docblock says why no other instant could agree with the server.
      • The day-turn guard: startDay = todayAt(start) is declared after todayAt. In each measure, day0 !== startDay → not-run naming both days, before any fixture is written. The end-of-probe guard is unchanged.
      • The shared helpers: derive.ts gains uniqueFields, laterBy (delete-behavior's body, with string / unknown overloads), vary(base, k, tag) and fixtureBody(body, objectDef, n, tag, full = false), none re-exported from index.ts. Each family passes its own FIXTURE_TAG (u, p, w). delete-behavior's private fixtureBody stays private, with its reason.
    • The changeset (.changeset/15953-verify-dashboard-window-now-removed.md):

      • @objectstack/verify minor, fix(verify)!:, Clause-②: no (narrowing), and the launch-window BREAKING line;
      • one marker, not-required (runtime-export-retired @objectstack/verify#DashboardWindowProofOptions), which check-adr-0087-registration verifies against the retired export.

      The one deviation, accepted: the FROM line names the retired export, not the four-argument call, and the call change is on the TO side. The gate's predicate 3 refuses a FROM operand the marker does not name, and naming runDashboardWindowProofs would fail predicate 1, because it is still exported. All of the ruling's content is present.

    • Byte identity: a capture of 1984 helper calls from the families' own test runs, plus 1455 synthetic branch calls, gives PASS on 3439 records. The control (tag x) gives FAIL with 860 mismatches.

    • The .d.ts: compared with the PUBLISHED 18.0.0-next.0 tarball, there are four hunks, all the option's, and 0 hits for the helpers.

    • Ablations:

      • deleting the guard reds its pin (inconclusive expected, contradicted received, with the predicted narrower counts);
      • forcing vary's tag reds the helper pins.

      Both were restored to the HEAD blob.

    • Tests and gates at 75877cc2e2: this is after the second merge of main, which carries feat(spec)!: a controlled_by_parent object derives its master from exactly one required master_detail; the runtime's fallback tiers retire (#23100) #23179's landing (76815b9013).

      • verify: 38 files / 306 tests;
      • verify and cli typecheck exit 0;
      • the core #22661 pin passes;
      • a full build, and check:dual-build-cjs-loads exit 0;
      • 61 derived gates plus check:verify-stand-in, all exit 0, reconciled with --ran (61 / 61 / 0 / 0);
      • lint is narrowed with the three-part proof.
    • CI on 75877cc2e2 at this stamp: latest run per name, 23 success, 6 skipped and 8 in progress, with no failure. Not green yet.

    • Contract review owed: a narrowing of a published prerelease export (ruling A2). needs:contract-review goes on PR fix(verify)!: runDashboardWindowProofs takes no options, a run crossing UTC midnight reads not-run, and four proof families share one set of fixture helpers (#15953 slice 6) #23236 in this act, and the seat runs the isolated review on this head.

    • Writes: mcp_calls 0. Round 1 made the report 6141945855; round 2 made pr_create with its assignee, and the report 6143598072.

    • Left for a person: two root pid files from round 1 (/closure-build.pid, /before-families.pid), which the harness refused to remove.

    Landed: PR #23236 → 06dbc4e59d (slice 6, Part of #15953). The card goes back to pm:queue for its remaining rows

    domain:cli seat 2 (#22648) · os-steve · session session_01VoSxBQujKLZKPwK2u5ehQ6 · 2026-10-13T11:22Z · holder of claim 6140521245, released by this landing.

    • Landed: through the merge queue at 2026-10-13T11:19:22Z as 06dbc4e59d, a squash with one parent. It settles slice 5's two owed notes:

      • runDashboardWindowProofs takes no options, and DashboardWindowProofOptions is retired. That was ruling A2 6142005900, as a declared narrowing of the published 18.0.0-next.0.
      • A run that crosses UTC midnight after it starts reads not-run instead of a false red.

      It also moves four families' fixture helpers (uniqueFields, laterBy, vary(tag), fixtureBody(tag, full)) into derive.ts, off the published entry, with every value each family writes byte-identical.

    • Review chain:

      The changeset is @objectstack/verify minor, fix(verify)!:, Clause-②: no (narrowing), with the runtime-export-retired marker and the launch-window BREAKING line. Its FROM line names the retired export, the only form the ADR-0087 gate takes.

    • Carried, not filed:

      • Owed on the next push to delete-behavior.ts (the record's escalation, now with a carrier): its private fixtureBody suffixes a unique required date, URL or phone value with a plain -n, which is not a valid value of that type. Such a fixture is refused and reported not-run, never a false verdict. It is a reading with no repro.
      • A wording note on the shipped changeset: "any now other than the current instant made every window read contradicted" overstates. A now on the same UTC day resolves identically, and on another day only the presets whose edges move contradict. The operative ground, that every non-default value is equivalent or a false red, holds. The text errs toward caution, and it is not re-edited.
    • Remaining for later slices (unchanged from slice 5's landing 6139508960):

      • D: the static author-time rule (row 13, packages/lint, domain:spec), and row 11's D residue (static, the same home).
      • R: rows 8, 10 and 11, and the R residues of rows 3, 4-5, 7 and 12.
      • K: rows 4-5, and rows 1-3's K residues.
      • The date-window family's residue: three non-count widgets are measured as excluded.
      • The card's acceptance clause "runs from os verify on hotcrm's metadata" waits on hotcrm's protocol 18.
    • Serial: test budget (domain:cli): 119 test file(s) over 10 s of wall in the hourly full battery (Part of #23151) #23181's @objectstack/verify slice (24 files) may now claim packages/verify.

    • Holds released: packages/verify/src/ (dashboard-window.ts, derive.ts, delete-behavior.ts, parent-write-reach.ts, unique-scope.ts, index.ts, two test files), the README, and the new changeset.
