Prepares draft-rapp-amap-00 for the co-author/editor's review: the peer-origin profile folded into the draft, the editor's 27 September review addressed, and the five pending changes to the signed statement between hosts applied.

What changed

  • One document. The peer-origin profile is now section "The Peer-Origin Profile (Optional)". spec/peer-origin.md is frozen; its header maps its sections and lists what changed since.
  • Editor's review.
    • Introduction: a new "Why This Work Is Brought to the IETF" section, which lists the open questions the authors know of.
    • Terminology is alphabetized and adds the profile's terms. Drop and Fail Closed are now defined terms, and "drop-box" is gone.
    • Prescriptive "never" statements now use RFC 2119 keywords.
    • Prior-revision history is out of the body and the Security Considerations.
    • The Change Log is now the "Historical Background" appendix, which is removed before RFC publication.
    • The draft explains why the wire version stays "2".
    • IANA considerations request provisional registration of AMAP-Peer-Statement and AMAP-Peer-Control, and list possible future registries as open questions.
    • All references are embedded in one form, so the build stays offline.
  • Signed statement between hosts.
    • The id grammar is narrowed to ^[A-Za-z0-9_][A-Za-z0-9_-]*$.
    • A point is decoded canonically before the small-order check, and the gate's decoder is fixed to match.
    • The 12288-octet limit counts the field body as transmitted.
    • After the loss of H, Fmax comes from the retained F history if that history is provable, and is 900 otherwise.
    • How a Runtime divides its intake is an implementation choice.
  • Schema descriptions cite the draft's section names instead of the frozen files' section numbers.
  • Security Considerations gain a section for the profile.
  • Coverage gate now covers the profile. Every new or reworded normative sentence is classified, and the unclassified baseline drops from 128 to 115.

Gate

121 fixtures checked, 0 unexpected.
114 signed peer cases and 10 MIME cases checked, RFC 8032 vectors ok, 0 unexpected.
check_coverage: 294 normative sentences in scope: 68 fixture, 6 informative, 105 operational, 115 unclassified — OK
site: 12 pages, docs/ matches site/

Not changed

submissionType="IETF" and category="std" are still pending confirmation with counsel. Nothing is submitted.

Reviewers: make -C draft normdiff BASE=origin/main lists every normative sentence added, removed or changed.

Fold the peer-origin profile into the draft, address the editor's
27 September review, and apply the five pending changes to the signed
statement between hosts.

- The profile's prose is now the draft's section "The Peer-Origin Profile
(Optional)"; spec/peer-origin.md is frozen, with a header mapping its
sections and listing what changed since.
- The editor's review: a "Why This Work Is Brought to the IETF" section with
the known open questions; Drop and Fail Closed defined, "drop-box" gone,
Terminology alphabetized with the profile's terms; prescriptive "never"
statements now use RFC 2119 keywords; history of earlier revisions removed
from the body and Security Considerations; the Change Log is now the
"Historical Background" appendix (removed before RFC); the case for wire
version "2"; IANA: provisional registration of AMAP-Peer-Statement and
AMAP-Peer-Control, with possible registries listed as open; references
embedded uniformly (the build stays offline).
- Signed statement: id grammar narrowed to ^[A-Za-z0-9_][A-Za-z0-9_-]*$
  (schemas, two invalid fixtures, one signed case, one re-minted case);
canonical point decoding before the small-order check (gate decoder fixed,
two vectors); the 12288-octet limit counts the raw field body (one MIME
case); Fmax after loss of H from provable F history, else 900 (one signed
case, gate flag f_history_lost); intake division is an implementation
  choice.
- Schema descriptions cite the draft's section names.
- Security Considerations for the profile.
- Coverage scope includes the profile; every new or reworded normative
sentence is classified (baseline 128 -> 115 unclassified).

Gate: 121 fixtures, 0 unexpected; 114 signed cases and 10 MIME cases, RFC
8032 vectors ok, 0 unexpected. The submission stream and category remain
pending counsel; nothing is submitted.
