I've been approached to give it a try at creating original icons for the app. Here's the design that I like so far:
It has the red color of garnet, and features an ostrich which is the unofficial Nostr mascot, to make it easily identifiable by potential users, just like Amethyst does. Another variant that I have is using orange instead of red, as a nod to the fact that is Monero-related, but I think it can be confusing without adding much meaning besides ourselves insiders:
I think this design can also be adapted very easily for either Android mode, both circle and square icons, even the greyscale material adaptable variants.
