Typer 0.26 vendored Click, breaking the CLI’s external Click exception checks. This approach requires
typer>=0.27.2and uses the publicTyperExceptionAPI. It supports modern Typer without an exception compatibility shim, at the cost of raising the minimum version.Alternative: #581 keeps older Typer support with a small compatibility layer. These are two proposals for comparison; only one should be merged.
Tested: 1,284 unittest cases (one skip) on minimum/latest Typer, 74 slim checks, Ruff and mypy. Full offline runs mock one existing training-test export preflight; that helper is outside this PR. AI-assisted; independently reviewed with Claude Opus 5.5.
