It seems like this setting is incorrect. When I choose to use bits, I see my speed in "KiB". KiB are still bytes.

Solution 1: Keep displayed speed in "KiB" and show setting as "Kilo or Kibi ?" / "Power of 10 or power of 2 ?".
Solution 2: Change displayed speed unit as "kbps" / "kb/s" / "kbit/s" and calculate it as such (8 bits = 1 byte).
I think solution 2 is more in line with what is usually done for network speed.
