Hey, I'm Jared.

I'm a founder and engineering leader based in Southern California. I'm the founding engineer at EnergyConnect, a marketplace for bulk liquids and chemicals, and I take a small number of fractional CTO and vCISO engagements for pre-Series-A teams that need that judgment without a full-time hire.

13+ years shipping production AI, distributed backend systems, and resilient multi-cloud infrastructure. Previously co-founded PopSocial (scaled engineering from 1 to 15+), served as CISO at Lavender (built the security program through SOC 2 Type II), and built backend, identity, analytics, and telemetry systems at BlockFi, InsideTrack, and AAMP Global.

I write about AI engineering, Elixir, security, Omarchy, and what it actually takes to ship at small-team scale.
