The local chat server resolves static assets relative to its module and listens on loopback. Three automated tests verify HTML from another working directory, missing/private file routes, and message delivery to two clients. CI uses Node22 and read-only permissions. Compatible dependency updates resolve the eight findings observed in the initial npm audit, and the lockfile matches the manifest.
Validation: clean
npm ci --ignore-scripts,npm test(3 passed), actual CLI startup from another directory, npm audit(0 findings), and fresh Gitleaks history/directory scans (0 findings). CI passed and independent critical review approved the corrected head; tests were repeated on merged main. The existing Marvel image was not copied, modified or relicensed. Its provenance remains unverified and both READMEs exclude it from selected work. No global license or history rewrite. The chat remains an educational prototype without authentication or persistence.
