...by establishing the stakes involved. The key thing to understand is that the impression store carries attacker-controlled information that can be queried by the attacker. This is why DP is the only thing that can work for this API. It provides strong guarantees in the face of this style of adversary. That doesn't mean that the other protections mentioned aren't essential. Those all make it possible to apply DP protections at all.
