Process Manager
The Process Manager lists running processes and lets you monitor or terminate them.
Shows process name, CPU usage, memory usage, and thread count. The list refreshes automatically at a configurable interval.
- Flat — all processes in a single list
- Grouped — processes grouped by their owning application
Click any column header to sort by name, CPU, memory, or threads.
Select a process and use the Terminate button to send a termination request, or the Force Kill button for stubborn processes. Confirmation is required before any process is terminated.
-
Critical system processes —
kernel_task,launchd, and other protected processes cannot be terminated - Whitelist — processes that must never be terminated
- Blacklist — processes marked for quick termination, with an optional auto-kill flag
Protected processes show a shield icon and cannot be terminated.
The list uses chunked lazy loading (LazyVStack) and memoized filtering to keep scrolling smooth with hundreds of processes.
Processes owned by the system or by another user cannot be terminated. The list hides processes that cannot be inspected.
