TestFlight feedback (2026-10-11, v0.1.18, iPhone 17 Pro): "I don't currently have an xr18 connected via usb, but am connected via WiFi for control." The record screen showed "Only 1 of the XR18's 18 USB Channels is coming in. Arm the XR18 to record all 18." while the iPhone microphone was Armed on purpose.
Change (Eric's choice): an input with 1 or 2 channels (the device's microphone, a stereo interface) is never taken for the Mixer's USB, so no warning. A multichannel input that brings fewer than the Mixer sends (8 of 18, say) still warns. "The system gave fewer channels than the input offers" is unchanged.
Test first: 1 and 2 channels with an XR18 linked give no warning; the message cases are now 3, 8 and 16 channels, and the singular wording that can no longer happen is gone.
