Two clauses of the legal texts, aligned on what Read Files Tech 3.0 carries since a legal review against its code (the French version prevails).

  • Terms of use, liability. The clause excluded every damage, direct or indirect, and made any data loss the user's alone. A clause that broad risks being set aside whole (Civil Code 1231-3, 1171), and then protects nothing. It now says the app is free and published by a private individual, and limits liability to indirect damage and to the data lost through this app's irreversible functions or a forgotten password — never gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or what the law forbids excluding.
  • Privacy policy, an e-mail written to the developer. Used only to answer, kept for the time of the exchange, then erased; access and erasure on request, and the CNIL (GDPR article 13).

All languages; dates updated; The texts are the ones the app shows (res/raw*): they ship with the next version; REPRISE.md notes it. No code changes.

The terms' liability clause excluded every damage, direct or indirect, and made any data loss the
user's alone: a clause that broad risks being set aside whole (Civil Code 1231-3, 1171). It now
says the app is free and published by a private individual, and limits liability to indirect
damage and to the data lost through functions meant to be irreversible or a forgotten password —
never gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or what the law forbids excluding.

The privacy policy now says what happens to an e-mail written to the developer: used only to
answer, kept for the time of the exchange, then erased; access and erasure on request, and the
CNIL (GDPR article 13). The French version prevails.

The wording Read Files Tech 3.0 carries, adapted to this app's irreversible functions, in every
language; REPRISE.md notes it for the next version, which ships these embedded texts.
