URLs sent to the panel and to agents could still contain an email address, for example /invite/alice@example.com or ?to=alice%40example.com. This was one of the decisions for 1.0. Refs #372.
The 'url' mode of redactText (text-redact.ts) now replaces each email address with [email], whether the @ is plain or encoded as %40. Every redactUrl caller uses this mode: router, HTTP, SSR, TransferState, NgRx, httpResource, Capacitor, list-pages and the rest.
The Analog server call log has its own redaction, and it now masks too: url, the redirect location, and route, which wasn't redacted at all before.
The email-in-url lint now uses a shared hasEmail that also recognises an address that is already masked. Without that, the lint could never fire once the page masks URLs before sending them.
These stay unchanged: an @ that isn't part of an address (/@angular/core, pkg@1.2.3, /users/@alice, user@localhost), and the user in a URL's authority (ssh://git@github.com). A URL password is still hidden by the credential pattern.
The regex can't backtrack badly: a match can only start at a separator, and each domain label starts with a .. URLs without @ or %40 skip the regex entirely. A test runs it on 80k–360k character adversarial inputs, and they take a few milliseconds.

Notes for reviewers
Free text such as error messages and log lines is not email-masked. The decision covered URLs only.
?cc= already shows [redacted] because cc is a secret key name, so the tests and the docs example use ?to=.
When the address sits inside an encoded nested URL's authority (?next=https%3A%2F%2Fbob%40x.com), it is masked, host included. That case is ambiguous, so it errs toward masking.
The changelog line is under ## Unreleased. Merge this before chore(release): 1.0.0 #460, which renames that heading to ## 1.0.0.
Sensitive email addresses in URLs are now masked as [email] in redacted URLs and server call logs, including addresses with percent-encoded @ characters.
Router lint continues to flag navigation URLs containing email addresses while masking the reported URL. Unrelated @ characters and usernames in URL authorities remain visible.
Documentation
Security guidance now explains where URL email addresses are masked and how router lint reports them.
Every URL redacted for the panel and agents, and the Analog server call log, now shows an email address as [email], also when the @ is encoded as %40. The email-in-url lint still fires on masked URLs.

Walkthrough
Email addresses in URLs are now masked as [email] in URL redaction and recorded HTTP, router, and Analog server call output. Router lint continues to report email-in-url for masked navigation URLs. Documentation describes the masking behavior and its exceptions.
Adds shared helpers to detect and mask email addresses in URLs, including %40. URL-mode text redaction applies the mask after known-secret redaction. Tests cover URL components, non-email @ uses, URL passwords, overlapping secrets, performance, and mailto: behavior.
Router and server log integration packages/devtools/src/rpc/router-config-tools.ts, packages/devtools/src/analog-server-log.ts, packages/devtools/src/__tests__/url-email-redaction.test.ts, apps/docs/src/content/security.md, packages/devtools/CHANGELOG.md
Router lint uses shared email detection and masks reported routes. Analog call records mask request URLs, matched routes, and redirect locations after credential redaction. Tests and documentation cover these outputs and lint behavior.
pangular-inspector/devtools#372: The issue identifies visible email addresses in HTTP and router URLs; this change adds masking for those URL outputs.

Document the nested encoded URL exception.
The PR description says that an encoded nested URL can have an email in its authority masked, including the host. The new section does not mention this limit. Add one short sentence so readers do not expect the authority rule to hold for encoded URLs.

An address could swallow the start of a known secret, such as a secret route param, so the secret no longer matched and its end stayed readable. Email masking now runs last in url mode. The docs also say an address inside an encoded nested URL is masked with its host.
