feat: add cdSlowMs, an NgRx size cap, transfer cache options, security status and token rotation - #471
Added a Dashboard Security section showing available authentication, trusted-client, pairing-token, and network-access details. Static reports do not show server security status.
Added pangular token to check trusted-token status or rotate tokens and obtain a new one-time code.
Added configurable slow-cycle budgets for change-detection recordings, defaulting to 16 ms, with updated chart and report indicators.
Added transfer-cache configuration options and a 256 KB limit for displayed NgRx state.
Dev-server startup now includes a NativeScript setup link.
Documentation
Updated guides with details on security status, token rotation, slow-cycle budgets, transfer-cache options, and state-size limits.
The recording and the chart judged a cycle slow against a fixed 16.6 ms
frame budget, which suits no app that targets a different frame rate.
Add limits.cdSlowMs (default 16 ms): the recorder flags cycles over it,
the server works the flags out again from the recording's slowMs, the
change-detection tool counts and marks slow cycles, and the panel chart
draws its budget line at the recording's threshold.
A store holding a large cached payload was kept whole on the server and
sent to the panel and agents on every push. Cap each stored state (the
classic Store's state and each signal store's state and computed fields)
at 256 KB of JSON: the largest top-level slices show [too large: N KB]
until the rest fits, so the small slices stay readable.
The SSR & HTTP tab explained transfer cache outcomes with Angular's
default options, so an app that set includePostRequests or a filter
through withHttpTransferCacheOptions() saw wrong reasons. Let
withPangular({ transferCache }) take HttpTransferCacheOptions, copy them
onto the options object Angular's transfer cache reads, whatever order
the providers come in, and use them for the cache hit and skip reasons.
Nothing in the panel said whether the one-time code was on, how many
browsers held a trusted token or who could reach the server, so a
developer had to read the start-up log or the token file. Add a
security-status RPC for trusted clients that reports auth, reach,
allowed origins and hosts, the trusted token count and expiry, the
pairing token count and the one-time code state, never a secret. The
Express hub, the Vite plugin and the CLI pass their access settings to
it, and the Dashboard lists them in a Security block.
Signing out every browser meant deleting the token folder and
restarting the server. Add pangular token, which counts the project's
trusted tokens, and --rotate, which empties the token file and asks the
running server, through the project's private token folder, to drop
the tokens it holds, untrust their connections, unlock the code guard
and make a new one-time code for the command to print.
The dev server printed the Angular Native view only, so a NativeScript
developer had to know the ?view=nativescript address. Print the
NativeScript setup view on the line after it.
It looks like this branch is under active development. To avoid overwhelming you with review comments due to an influx of new commits, CodeRabbit has automatically paused this review. You can configure this behavior by changing the reviews.auto_review.auto_pause_after_reviewed_commits setting.
The pull request adds configurable change-detection thresholds, Dashboard security status and token rotation, configurable HTTP transfer-cache behavior, and a 256 KiB NgRx state cap. It also updates NativeScript startup output and extension asset references.

The change-detection threshold defaults to 16 ms and can be configured from 1 to 1000 ms. Recordings store the threshold, and sanitization and reports classify cycles by comparing duration with it.
The chart uses each recording’s threshold for its budget line, cycle indicators, and summaries. Tests and documentation cover default and recording-specific thresholds.
The token command reports trusted-token counts and can request rotation. Servers handle requests, revoke active connections, reset code-guard state, and return a new code when a running server responds.

Update the timeline hit rule for the configured options.
This PR changes the interceptor so that client-side transfer-cache hit detection uses transferCacheEligible(req, cacheOptions). The line still says Angular caches a request only when it has no auth headers, no credentials, and no no-cache request. That is no longer correct. Options such as includeRequestsWithAuthHeaders, includeRequestsWithCredentials and includeNonCacheableRequests change the result. A filter or POST handling can also change it.
Say that the rules depend on the options passed to withPangular({transferCache}). Link to Transfer cache options.
As per coding guidelines and learnings, "Behaviour, option, label or tool changes update the matching docs page in the same pull request."

42-42: Trivial · Functional Correctness · Low value
Fix the size accounting in capNgrxState after a slice is replaced.
The loop adjusts total by bytes - jsonBytes(marker). This ignores the JSON comma and key overhead, which does not change. The estimate is therefore accurate for that part. A slice that JSON cannot write (undefined, a function or a circular value) has bytes equal to 0. The loop still replaces it with a marker. The marker then adds bytes and total can increase. The loop can also mark zero-size slices first when max is small. Skip entries with bytes equal to 0 so the cap only replaces slices that reduce the size.
Proposed fix

…n fails
The rotation poll ran answerRotateRequest in a setInterval callback
without a try/catch, so a failed write could crash the dev server, and it
dropped the tokens before it wrote the answer, so a failure left no
tokens and no code. Write the answer first, catch and log failures in
the poll, and say in the lock message, the Dashboard and the security
docs that pangular token --rotate also gives a new code after a lock.
The size cap could swap a slice JSON can't write, or one smaller than
the marker, for the marker, which made the state larger. Skip those.
Also say in the SSR & HTTP docs that the timeline's transfer cache hit
rule follows the withPangular({ transferCache }) options.
Notes on the two CodeRabbit review 5813223297 items that have no inline thread:
Outside diff, ssr-http.md:149: fixed in fb84abf. The timeline's transfer cache hit rule now says it follows the options passed to withPangular({transferCache}), or Angular's defaults without them, and links to Transfer cache options.
Nitpick, ngrx-size-cap.ts:42: a real bug, though a small one, and the fix is cheap. Fixed in fb84abf. The cap skips a slice that JSON can't write, or one no larger than its marker, so replacing slices never grows the state. A new test covers it.

A state with many small top-level fields had no field larger than its
marker, so nothing was replaced and the state was stored uncapped. When
the fields still exceed the cap after the loop, store the marker for the
whole state, under a [state] field for a signal store so it stays a
record.

The size cap measured a state with JSON.stringify and counted a throw as
0 bytes, so a BigInt or a cycle passed as small and was stored as is.
The overlay serializes state first, but devframe decodes a client's
structured-clone frame even for a jsonSerializable method, so such
values can reach the server. Mark the slices JSON cannot write as
[not serializable], or the whole state when it is not an object, before
the cap runs.

Servers that run the same project, such as the Vite plugin and pangular
dev, share the private token folder. The first one to see a rotation
request deleted it, so the others kept their trusted tokens while the
command reported success. Each server now keeps a heartbeat and writes
its own answer for a request without deleting it; the command waits for
every server with a fresh heartbeat, deletes the request and answers,
prints each code and says how many servers did not answer in time.
CodeRabbit review 5813579656, the outside-diff Major on auth-rotate.ts:153-165 (servers that share a token folder): fixed in 6d0dbba.
The path is real.privateAuthStoreDir(projectRoot) depends only on the project path. So a Vite dev server and pangular dev (or an Express hub) for the same project watch the same folder. The first server to see the request deleted it, and the others kept their trusted tokens and sessions while the command reported success.
What changed:
Each server (watchTokenRotation) keeps a heartbeat file (rotate-watcher.<id>.json) in the folder. It renews the file every second and deletes it once its context is gone.
Servers no longer delete the request. Each server answers a request id once, in its own file (rotate-answer.<request>.<server>.json). It writes that answer before it drops its tokens, so a failed write still leaves every token trusted.
Two contexts in one process reuse the code the first one made, so the second doesn't replace a code that is about to be printed.
The command waits until every server with a fresh heartbeat (from the last 5 s) has answered, or 3 s pass. It then deletes the request and the answers and prints each code. If a server did not answer, the output gives the count and says those servers still trust their tokens. Heartbeats older than a minute are cleaned up.
Tests (auth-rotate.test.ts):
two contexts sharing a folder are both rotated
one server can't delete the request before another answers
a live server that doesn't answer is reported, and a stale heartbeat is ignored
each server keeps its own heartbeat file
The CLI docs and the changelog describe several servers. The PR also moves the changelog lines under ## 1.0.0, since these ship in 1.0.0 (a9378ae).
