feat(components): copy actions, keyboard pick, defer details and force-load, CD reload - #476
Refs #366. Ships in 1.0.0. Builds every open feature item of #366:
Copy as JSON copies the panel's already redacted values. Copy host path copies a CSS selector (detail.selector), or the component path when there is no DOM.
Changed values get a 1 s outline (shown without the fade under reduced motion). Show in Signals deep links with #tab=signals&id=&page=, and open-in-panel can select signals.
CD recording keeps running across a reload, using a sessionStorage flag per pageId.
Defer blocks:
"hydrated before inspection" status
a details toggle per row
the last 6 state changes per block
links from hydration mismatches
defer blocks listed in the component detail
load-defer-block is a new action tool, gated by actions.components, with an AGENT_ENTRIES entry and defer-load-result in RPC_INSPECTOR.
Pick by keyboard: arrows move through components and Enter picks, through the new RPC request-component-pick-move (in RPC_INSPECTOR).
Likely source file for directives, matched by class name.
Most often checked table in the CD panel.
Docs: components, signals, tools, mcp-server, resources, configuration, popup-and-hub, and the shipped skill. The changelog lines are under ## 1.0.0.
pnpm test:devtools: one failure, router-mcp "scan-render-mode reads the workspace server routes". It also fails on base b78a59b, so it is not from this PR.
pnpm extension:build, with extension/ui committed
pnpm test:axe not run here; CI runs it
Notes for reviewers
Other branches that add agent tools also change the tool count on the tools page and in the changelog. Those lines may conflict when merging.
… reload
Close the decided feature items of the components follow-ups:
- Copy as JSON and Copy host path in the detail header. The JSON holds
the values the page already serialized and masked, and the page now
sends a CSS selector for the host.
- A changed input or property gets an outline that fades over one
second, and Show in Signals opens the Signals tab on the component's
graph (#tab=signals&id=), selecting a signal property's node.
- The detail lists the defer blocks of the selected component.
- A defer block that hydrated before the overlay attached shows
"hydrated before inspection" in the panel and the defer-blocks tool.
- A change detection recording resumes after a reload of the tab,
through a sessionStorage flag per pageId.
- The load-defer-block action tool loads one @defer block as if its
trigger fired, behind actions.components.
Refs #366
Picking a component needed a pointer. While a pick runs, the arrow keys
now move the page highlight through the components in page order, out
to the parent and in to the first child, and Enter picks. The panel
sends the keys through request-component-pick-move, and the page takes
them itself when it has focus.
Directives had no source location at all. Angular attaches no debug
location to them, so each directive now shows the file from the source
scan with the same class name, marked Likely.
Refs #366
The change-detection agent tool listed the most often checked classes,
but the panel only had the slowest ones. Add a Most often checked table
with the number of cycles, and make the class names in both tables
select the most checked instance in the tree. The rows keep track
$index, since two classes can share a name.
Refs #366
…tches
The Defer blocks list had more data than it showed: the block id, when
it entered its state or hydrated, and its root elements. Each row now
has a details toggle with these, every trigger, the last six state
transitions the overlay saw (sent as transitions on the block), and a
link to a hydration mismatch on one of its root elements, which also
gets a mismatch badge on the row.
Refs #366
The change detection section now has two component tables, so the chart test reads the first one, and the tools page states ninety-nine tools now that load-defer-block is registered.
It looks like this branch is under active development. To avoid overwhelming you with review comments due to an influx of new commits, CodeRabbit has automatically paused this review. You can configure this behavior by changing the reviews.auto_review.auto_pause_after_reviewed_commits setting.
The PR adds component-inspector actions and navigation, defer-block tracking and loading, and change-detection recording and summaries. It also updates related tests, documentation, and generated extension asset references.

Summary
Signals focus and deep links app/src/app.ts, app/src/pages/signal-inspector.ts, app/src/types/signal-focus.types.ts, packages/devtools/src/config.ts, related tests and docs
Signals navigation and deep links can carry component and page focus. When a signal property key is supplied, the inspector selects the matching graph node after the graph arrives.
Keyboard component picking packages/devtools/src/component-pick.ts, packages/devtools/src/overlay.ts, packages/devtools/src/devframe.ts, app/src/pages/component-tree.ts, related tests and docs
Component picking supports arrow-key navigation and Enter selection. The interaction passes through page, overlay, panel, and RPC handling.
Component details, copy, and value changes app/src/pages/component-copy.ts, app/src/pages/component-value-flash.ts, app/src/pages/component-tree.ts, packages/devtools/src/component-tree.ts, packages/devtools/src/types.ts, related tests, docs, and extension assets
Component details support JSON and host-path copying, one-second change highlighting, directive source hints, and links to Signals. Component details can include a host selector.

Defer-block inspector details app/src/pages/defer-blocks-section.ts, app/src/pages/component-tree.ts, related tests and docs
The inspector displays hydration status, block details, transitions, and mismatch links. Selecting a mismatch reveals its node.
Page-side defer-block loading packages/devtools/src/defer-load.ts, packages/devtools/src/overlay.ts, related tests
The page-side loader finds nested blocks, checks loading conditions, loads dependencies, and renders complete or error content.
Agent tool request flow packages/devtools/src/rpc/defer-loads.ts, packages/devtools/src/devframe.ts, packages/devtools/src/config.ts, related tests, docs, fixtures, and E2E checks
The action tool validates the block and optional page, sends a request to the owning page, and returns a result or timeout. The tool is gated by the components action.

Summary
Recording persistence across reloads packages/devtools/src/cd-overlay.ts, related tests and docs
Browser recording choices persist per page in session storage and resume on attachment. Platform-backed recording does not use this persistence.
Component check summaries app/src/pages/cd-recording.ts, related tests and docs, packages/devtools/CHANGELOG.md
Component names in recording tables are selectable, and a new table lists components by check count.

"Workers Builds: angular-devtools" fails on every PR and on main because of the Cloudflare project setup, not this diff (#431). There is no fix to port: it needs a change in the Cloudflare dashboard, which is listed in #463.

The Capacitor redaction tests checked that the serialized calls never contain 1234, but a startedAt such as 1794072512340 contains those digits too, which failed Test coverage on this branch at random. The checks now zero startedAt and durationMs first, so they still cover every argument and result.

Validate selector in guardComponentDetail.
A truthy non-string selector passes through to “Copy host path” instead of falling back to path. The clipboard can then receive text such as [object Object]. Preserve complete string selectors: truncation can make a valid selector unusable.

Keep the requested page pending until it reports.
If another page is shown when a Signals link is opened, the requested page may not yet be in graphPages. When it reports, pickPage keeps the previous page, so the inspector still shows that page even if the requested graph arrives.

The new load-defer-block step left the page on /examples/defer, so the watch-signal step after it could not find the signals example. It now goes back first. The negative phase also gets a valid block for load-defer-block, so its unknown-page check reaches the page check, and the block argument row in tools.md is no longer read as a tool name.

If a deferred binding throws during ng.applyChanges, the loader discards the error and returns complete. Angular schedules another check, but a repeated error can leave the binding blank while the tool reports that the main content is shown.

Split the component-tree paragraph into shorter parts.
Line 54 is one very long paragraph. It now covers nodes, hydration, detail, limits, deferBlocks and transitions. The guidelines require "One idea per sentence" and that each page keep to its type. Split the paragraph into subsections or a table. Use ### headings such as "Defer blocks" for the deferBlocks, deferTruncated and transitions fields. This also makes the section linkable by anchor.
The defer-block claims match the source: the 500-block cap, the 6-transition cap, deferTruncated, and the first entry being the initial state. Past review comments on selector absence, the block limit and history limits are now addressed in the text.
