The cross-platform Windows run tried to exercise macOS updater persistence with POSIX mode checks and directory fsync, plus macOS bundle-path fixtures. Windows cannot represent those fixture contracts, so they now skip there while retaining Linux and macOS coverage.

Production updater behavior and durability guarantees are unchanged. Pure argument parsing, replacement disposition, fingerprint, and injected service behavior remain covered on Windows; generic service-stop tests also remain enabled.

Validation: focused 43 tests, typecheck, and diff check passed locally. All 623 local test files passed with bun run test:parallel (5.8 minutes). Remote cross-platform qualification is running; merge remains gated on that result.
