This PR collects the smaller findings from the CodeRabbit reviews of the PRs merged for 1.0.0, plus the small tracker items an audit of main found still open. Ships in 1.0.0.

Review findings fixed

  • Pipes:
    • The pipe-usages summary now lists the single connected page.
    • A templateUrl that can't be read is recorded as a dependency, so creating the file later rescans the template.
    • The fast path now checks template dependencies.
    • Opening a pipe from Components keeps the selected page.
  • Router: a static redirect's query now resolves :param placeholders. A redirect with both a query and a fragment no longer drops the fragment.
  • Components and signals:
    • Picking by keyboard announces a repeated message again.
    • Picking another component clears a pending focused signal.
    • A requested focus.pageId waits until that page reports.
    • guardComponentDetail drops a selector that is not text.
    • load-defer-block reports change-detection errors.
  • Store:
    • The state tree walk visits open nodes only.
    • snapshotDiff paths use the state tree's format.
    • The store filter now applies to seq lookups.
    • ngrx-explain-change keeps its refusal marking and prints a single notice.
  • Forms: controls and submit buttons in a disabled fieldset count as disabled.
  • Analog:
    • The Nitro task confirm panel stays open when a run fails.
    • analog.md documents the fs-lite cache driver.
    • The seeded payload test gets the setup timeout.
  • Popup: changing the counts launcher in a popped-out panel now reaches the opener page. The popup accepts that message only from the pop-out window, using the same check as popup-return, and there are tests on both sides.
  • Docs:
    • The agent recipes are corrected.
    • The API index lists the package-root alias.
    • The try-webmcp confirm callout is fixed.
    • The findComponents directive note is added.
    • The component-tree resource paragraph is split.
    • The settings wording is fixed.
    • Two limits are documented: frames that share a URL in the extension, and Ionic pages without Capacitor.
    • The docs generators use the Prettier API.

Tracker leftovers

Left as they are, with reasons

  • The autocomplete="off" purpose finding stays silenced, because WCAG 1.3.5 only covers the user's own data. The docs now say so.
  • Three items were already fixed on main: the second try-webmcp call guard, the run timeout, and the analog-markdown code spans.
  • There is no classic-Store e2e fixture. Neither demo uses provideStore, and unit tests already cover provideStoreDevtools().
  • The "launcher" rename is skipped because it would rename a UI label.

Checks

Results on the branch with main merged in:

  • Pass: typecheck, format:check, lint, commit:check (30 commits).
  • Tests:
    • test:devtools: 4435 passed. One test failed locally: router-mcp "scan-render-mode". It fails the same way on main when run from a worktree under .claude/, and it passes in CI.
    • test:panel: 1077 passed.
  • Before the merge: docs:build, docs:test and test:axe (245 views) passed.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Pipes opened from the Components view show live data for the selected page, with page-specific recording support.
    • Added an Angular debug API reference and expanded API documentation.
    • Added Firefox DevTools platform guidance.
  • Bug Fixes

    • Failed task runs keep their payload available for editing and retrying.
    • Improved signal focus, keyboard navigation, troubleshooting links, and popup setting sync.
    • Defer-block results now include change-detection errors; pipe scans better detect template changes.
    • Improved NgRx explanations, form checks, and state-diff paths.
  • Documentation & CI

    • Documentation checks now fail when code changes lack documentation, unless bypassed with the existing label.
    • Added Vite 6 and 7 compatibility checks.

…scans

The pipe-usages size summary took its page ids from the pipes state, which
splits by page only when two or more pages report, so one connected page
listed none. The pipe scan also forgot an unreadable templateUrl, so creating
the file later kept the old result, and the Vite watcher fast path returned
the kept scan without checking templates outside the folders it watches.
The Pipes tab always showed the page the panel belongs to, so a pipe
opened from a component on another page picked in Components showed the
wrong page's live data. Pass the page along with the pipe name and use it
for the live data and the recording request.
Angular copies the URL's query parameter into a `:name` value in the query
of a redirectTo string, and drops the key when the URL lacks it. The
navigation preview kept the placeholder as text, and it lost the fragment
of a redirect that had both a query and a fragment.
The docs generators ran pnpm exec prettier in a child process. Format with the Prettier API, the way the docs tests compare the pages, so the scripts need no pnpm on the PATH.
… recipes

The API reference now lists @pangular-inspector/devtools as an alias of the devframe entry point. The invalid form recipe leaves the field before waiting, so blur and submit controls commit their value, and the missing provider recipe starts the lookup from the class that injects the token.
…mcp needs confirm

A directive class name matches only the directive host whose graph the page already reports, so the inspect-signals argument now points to the host's instance id or element injector id. The confirm callout of the forms tools lists try-webmcp.
With `seq`, ngrx-explain-change ignored `store` and explained an entry of
another store. Its handler also wrapped every answer in the untrusted
notice, which turned a refusal into an ordinary answer and put a second
notice on an unknown page answer that already had one. Pause and resume do
not add a log entry, so the NgRx Store page no longer says every operation
does.
The keyboard pick set the live region text directly, so moving to the same component twice, or a second 'The page did not move.', left the text unchanged and screen readers stayed silent. Announce it through the helper that marks a repeat.
Show in Signals for a page that had not reported its graph yet lost the page and showed another one. Keep it pending and choose it once its graph arrives. Picking another component left the earlier focused signal waiting, so it could jump to that signal later; it is now dropped.
The collector joined a state key and the diff path below it with a dot, so a key that needs quotes became profile."first name" and a top-level one stayed unquoted, while the state tree and Copy path write profile["first name"] and "display name". The tree then missed the change and a copied path found no entry. Build the diff under the quoted key instead.
The state tree walked every value of a closed node and copied each level's rows with a spread. Walk only open nodes, as a filter opens them all, and push rows in place.
The DOM facts took the control's own disabled property, which stays false inside <fieldset disabled>, so such a field looked enabled on the page. Match :disabled instead. The Forms page also says that autocomplete="off" silences missing-autocomplete, as the rule's own fix suggests.
guardComponentDetail spread the pushed detail and kept any selector value, so a malformed report could hand the agent tools a number or an object where they print and match a CSS selector. Keep a string whole and leave anything else out.
…missing

The component-tree resource was one long paragraph. Split it by topic with a Defer blocks subsection, and note that detail.selector is also missing in an Angular Native or NativeScript app.
The page caught every error around applyChanges after it rendered a loaded @defer block, so a template that threw once its content rendered still read as a clean load. Keep ignoring a root that is gone, but pass the first applyChanges error back and quote it in the answer.
The test runs pangular.setup, which timed out once at the default 5 seconds on a Windows runner. Give it 15 seconds like the other setup tests.
Run task closed the confirm panel before the request, so a failed run lost the payload and needed Run again to retry. Close it only after a run that works. The Analog page also lists the fs-lite cache driver among the on-disk storage it reads.
The panel posted the counts launcher setting only to the windows around it, so in its own window the app page that opened it kept the old launcher. Post it to the opener too, on the opener's origin, and accept it in the popup only from the pop-out window, checked by reference or by name and origin as popup-return already is.
…citor

The extension evaluates in a frame by its URL, so frames that share a URL count as one. The Capacitor tab lists only pages with window.Capacitor, so an Ionic page without Capacitor shows no page stacks.
submitDom counted only buttons whose own disabled property is true, so a submit button inside <fieldset disabled> did not count and submit-disabled-while-invalid missed the blocked submit. Match :disabled instead. The collector test now also requires the event whose origin it checks.
… setting

The settings page said only the panel in the popup can change the counts launcher, while the panel also saves its own copy under pangular-pref:pill.
…ists

The Pipes list and the Capacitor call list each had their own arrow key handler, and the Pipes list left every row in the Tab order. Use appRovingList in both, let it follow a row that becomes selected without focus so the Capacitor list keeps its tab stop on the selected call, and add a page convention check that no page hand-writes the list keys again.

Refs #370
redactMessage, redactMessageWith, redactTokens and longestFirst lived in forms-privacy.ts while the other redaction helpers are in redaction.ts. Move them there and re-export them from forms-privacy.ts so existing imports keep working. redaction.ts no longer reads REDACTED at module load, so the import cycle between the two modules is safe in either load order.

Refs #371
The Docs check only left a warning, which is easy to miss on a pull request. Fail with an error annotation, as the Commit message check does. The no-docs label still lets a change through.

Refs #373
The popup's No devtools server found state linked only to the setup page, and the panel's Can't reach the devtools server message had no link. Add a Troubleshooting link to the matching section of the troubleshooting page in both, on the docs site the panel already links to.

Refs #373
The vite peer range is >=6, but every job installs Vite 8 from the lockfile. Add a matrix job to the compatibility workflow that overrides vite in its own checkout and runs the Vite plugin tests, so a break on an older supported major shows up.

Refs #373
The first Angular version of each window.ng function lived only in the @SInCE tags of NgDebugApi. pnpm docs:api now writes an Angular debug API page from them with the API reference, and the API reference test fails when the page is stale.

Refs #373
Ionic page stacks show on the Capacitor tab and the extension has a Firefox build, but the platforms page and the roadmap still listed both as planned. Move them to the supported platforms with links to the Ionic page stacks and the Firefox build steps.

Refs #307
The fixes on this branch pushed app.ts, component-tree.ts, signal-inspector.ts, popup.ts and devframe.ts past the line counts in lint-baseline.json. Move the panel's connection error into its own component, the Signals graph types into a types file and the popup's new-tab links into a helper, shorten the pipe-usages resource, and lower the baseline where files shrank.
Rebuild extension/ui from the panel changes on this branch.

Walkthrough

The pull request updates inspector interactions, devtools data handling, API documentation, and CI workflows. It adds page-aware pipe selection, changes keyboard and focus behavior, reports defer-block rendering errors, adjusts NgRx and form handling, and adds documentation and compatibility checks.

Changes: Inspector and panel interactions

Layer / File(s) Summary
Page-aware pipe selection and signal focus
app/src/types/pipe-focus.types.ts, app/src/types/signal-graph.types.ts, app/src/app.ts, app/src/pages/component-tree.ts, app/src/pages/pipes-inspector.ts, app/src/pages/signal-inspector.ts, app/src/__tests__/pipes-record-page.test.ts, app/src/__tests__/signal-focus.test.ts, apps/docs/src/content/inspectors/pipes.md
Pipe focus now carries a page ID into the Pipes inspector and its recording target. Signal focus can wait for a page graph, and the inspector uses shared graph types.
Keyboard navigation and announcements
app/src/ui/roving-list.ts, app/src/pages/capacitor-inspector.ts, app/src/pages/pipes-inspector.ts, app/src/pages/component-tree.ts, app/src/__tests__/roving-list.test.ts, app/src/__tests__/page-conventions.test.ts, app/src/__tests__/component-pick-keys.test.ts
The Capacitor and Pipes lists use RovingList. Selection changes can update the current item, and repeated component announcements use announce.
Task, connection, and pop-out behavior
app/src/pages/analog-runtime.ts, app/src/ui/connection-error.ts, app/src/app.ts, app/src/shell-prefs.ts, packages/devtools/src/popup-links.ts, packages/devtools/src/popup.ts, app/src/__tests__/analog-views.test.ts, app/src/__tests__/app-shell.test.ts, app/src/__tests__/popout-window.test.ts, packages/devtools/src/__tests__/popup.test.ts
Failed Nitro tasks retain their confirmation and payload. The panel and popup show troubleshooting links. Pill-setting messages are sent to and accepted from the opener under the described origin and window checks.
State-tree traversal and paths
app/src/pages/store-state-tree.ts, app/src/__tests__/store-state-tree.test.ts
State rows are appended during traversal. Tests cover quoted keys and change-state propagation.

Devtools data and RPC behavior

Layer / File(s) Summary
Pipe scanning and resource summaries
packages/devtools/src/rpc/get-pipes.ts, packages/devtools/src/rpc/pipe-lint.ts, packages/devtools/src/rpc/source-file-index.ts, packages/devtools/src/rpc/resource-text.ts, packages/devtools/src/devframe.ts, packages/devtools/src/rpc/__tests__/source-file-index.test.ts, packages/devtools/src/rpc/__tests__/resource-text.test.ts
Pipe scans track missing template files and recheck cached dependencies. Oversized resource summaries can use supplied page IDs.
NgRx paths and explanations
packages/devtools/src/ngrx-shared.ts, packages/devtools/src/ngrx-collector.ts, packages/devtools/src/rpc/ngrx-devtools-tools.ts, packages/devtools/src/__tests__/ngrx-collector.test.ts, packages/devtools/src/rpc/__tests__/ngrx-devtools-tools.test.ts
NgRx diff paths use shared path formatting and optional base paths. Sequence lookups honor a supplied store ID, and refusal responses are returned without the untrusted-content wrapper.
Defer-load, forms, and redaction
packages/devtools/src/defer-load.ts, packages/devtools/src/rpc/defer-loads.ts, packages/devtools/src/forms-dom.ts, packages/devtools/src/redaction.ts, packages/devtools/src/forms-privacy.ts, packages/devtools/src/__tests__/defer-load.test.ts, packages/devtools/src/__tests__/defer-load-tool.test.ts, packages/devtools/src/__tests__/forms-lint-a11y.test.ts
Defer-load results report redacted rendering errors. Form handling detects controls disabled by a fieldset. Message-redaction helpers are centralized in redaction.ts.
Popup links, redirects, and component guards
packages/devtools/src/popup-links.ts, packages/devtools/src/popup.ts, packages/devtools/src/rpc/router-preview.ts, packages/devtools/src/rpc/component-report-guard.ts, packages/devtools/src/__tests__/popup.test.ts, packages/devtools/src/__tests__/router-preview.test.ts, packages/devtools/src/__tests__/component-report-guard.test.ts
The popup uses shared new-tab links. Redirect previews substitute query values, and component details include a selector only when it is a string.

API reference and product documentation

Layer / File(s) Summary

Explanation

The title "fix: pre-release cleanup of review findings and tracker leftovers" is a conventional-commit style summary that matches the changeset. The PR bundles many small fixes across Pipes, Router, Components and signals, Store, Forms, Analog, popup messaging, documentation, and CI. The title names the general nature of the work (a cleanup of review findings and tracker items) without listing each area. It is broad, but it refers to a real and main aspect of the change. It is not vague or generic, and it does not describe anything absent from the changeset.

Full details: Docstring Coverage

Explanation

Docstring coverage is 60.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 30 functions across 51 files. (6 skipped: 6 unsupported.)

Resolution

Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

Workers Builds: angular-devtools fails on every open PR. It is a problem with the Cloudflare deploy setup, not with this change, and this PR has no fix for it. The checks that gate the merge are the repo's own CI: Nx test and build, typecheck, axe and docs.

75-75: Trivial · Maintainability & Code Quality · Low value

Split the sentence into shorter sentences.

Line 75 packs four ideas into one passage. The popup-copy sentence also has a long compound clause with a nested "and so does". The guideline asks for one idea per sentence and active voice.

📝 Proposed rewrite

-It is off by default. The panel saves its own copy under `pangular-pref:pill` in its `localStorage`, and, like passive mode, the popup keeps a separate copy under `pangular-popup` in your app's `localStorage`. The panel in the popup changes the popup's copy, and so does the panel the popup moved to its own window, which sends the change to the page that opened it. In passive mode the button stays hidden, pill or not.

Shorten the component table cell.

This cell holds six sentences. The coding guidelines require one idea per sentence and short, plain sentences. Move the directive-host rules out of the table cell into the paragraph below the table. Keep the cell to the accepted value forms.

50-50: Trivial · Maintainability & Code Quality · Low value

Clarify the page-selection sentence.

The sentence "Without a tab of its own, the panel shows every tab together" is vague. The guideline requires short, plain sentences. It also asks that the page match the code. The code shows the merged snapshot when no page ID resolves. Name that condition, for example: "If the panel has no page of its own, it shows the pipes of every tab together."

Review comments at @apps/docs/src/content/inspectors/forms.md:
- Line 155: Update the `missing-autocomplete` description to clarify that
`autocomplete="off"` suppresses the finding for fields that do not collect the
user's own data; do not describe it as identifying whose data the field
collects.

Review comments at @packages/devtools/src/defer-load.ts:
- Line 185: Redact exception text before it is stored in renderError, so
credentials cannot reach deferLoadText in the agent response. Reuse the existing
shared text-redaction helper on the Error message or converted value, preserving
the current handling of non-Error values; add a test confirming a
credential-bearing render exception is masked.

Review comments at @packages/devtools/src/rpc/router-preview.ts:
- Around line 99-100: Update the copied-query-parameter handling around
actual.get so a missing source parameter serializes as undefined, matching
Angular Router’s output instead of omitting the pair; update the test
expectation to assert missing=undefined.
- Around line 99-100: Update the query-parameter copying logic around
actual.get(value.slice(1)) to retrieve every value for the parameter and append
an encoded key-value pair for each one, preserving repeated selections instead
of keeping only the first value.

Nitpick comments:
Review comments at @apps/docs/src/content/agents/tools.md:
- Line 473: Shorten the `component` table cell to list only the accepted value
forms and examples. Move the directive-host matching and fallback behavior into
the paragraph below the table, keeping the sentences short and focused on one
idea each.

Review comments at @apps/docs/src/content/getting-started/settings.md:
- Line 75: Split the long passage in the pill-setting documentation into shorter
sentences, expressing one idea per sentence and using active voice. Preserve the
details about the `pangular-pref:pill` and `pangular-popup` copies, panel
changes from the popup and its detached window, updates sent to the opening
page, and passive-mode behavior.

Review comments at @apps/docs/src/content/inspectors/pipes.md:
- Line 106: Split the recording paragraph in the Pipes documentation into short
paragraphs for start behavior, coverage, and stop behavior. Keep the existing
details and behavior intact, and remove the final sentence that duplicates the
instruction to click **Stop recording**.
- Line 50: Clarify the page-selection sentence in the pipes-panel description:
state that when the panel has no page of its own, it shows the pipes from every
tab together. Keep the wording short and plain, and preserve the surrounding
tab-specific behavior.

The page passed the raw message of an applyChanges error to the agent answer, so a token or secret value in it reached the agent unmasked. Run it through redactText, the page text redaction the errors collector uses, which masks secret pairs (redaction.secretNames included), JWTs and bearer tokens.
The roving list made a selected row the Tab stop on any class change, so a hover class on the selected row took the stop back from the row the user last focused. Track which rows were selected and move the stop only when a row turns selected, which still covers a click in Safari that selects without focus.
…ar does

Angular Router 22.1 copies every value of a repeated source parameter into a :name query value, one pair each, and writes a parameter the URL lacks as undefined. The preview copied only the first value and dropped a missing one.
The invalid form recipe now says to submit first for updateOn: 'submit' controls, which leaving the field does not update. The missing provider recipe starts explain-injection from an injector, the one that provides a service that injects the token, since a service class is not an injector. The Forms page describes autocomplete="off" as suppressing missing-autocomplete for fields that do not collect the user's own data.
Split the counts launcher setting and the Pipes recording passage into short sentences and paragraphs, drop the repeated Stop recording sentence, and move the directive host matching of inspect-signals out of the table cell into the paragraph below it.
Rebuild extension/ui for the roving list fix.

- Line 68: Update the “Component: not found” guidance for explain-injection:
this result does not by itself mean the requesting injector is absent. Explain
that the lookup can start from a known requesting injector such as Root, and
reserve “No injector on page” for cases where that injector is absent from the
reported tree.

Component: not found only means no component owns the error. The
requesting injector, such as Root, can still be on the page.
